“Layered” at Candita Clayton Gallery

I happily made my first excursion of the season to the Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers’ Market on Saturday! I have witnessed the evolution of this market over the course of three seasons and it never ceases to amaze me! While I will detail the wonders of this fantastic urban marketplace at another time, I will share with you the work that Candita Clayton has on display.

“Layered: Individual and Collaborative Work” unites artists Alison Paschke and Masha Ryskin in concocting a body of work that draws you in. I’m extremely interested in installation and theirs reminded me of an abstract garden with flowers and insects. Looking at the work, the deep sense that I was familiar with one of the artist’s work plagued me. Sure enough, I had been just as intrigued by Alison Paschke’s work at the Newport Art Museum as I was here at Candita Clayton Gallery.
